"jewel of the crown of yoga"

As part of her service in the world, Lila Lolling shares traditional Yoga practices & philosophy in American Sign Language (ASL) and English.
Yoga is known for its wisdoms, unity and healing properties. Known as Advaita Vedanta, this philosophy has been orally handed down from the Saraswati Sivananda lineage of Sannyasins (monks)
of Rishikesh, India, since 800 C.E.
For over 10 years Lila has been studying, contemplating and integrating these teachings in her own life and sharing the ancient wisdoms with others.
What began as a simple Self* inquiry and healing path from epilepsy
quickly became a quest for the soul's highest potential.
Life had guided Lila to Yoga. It was through the integration of the Yoga teachings, Lila has been guided to a world of service.
"Yoga philosophy teaches us how to become closer to the Divine and our Self.
Each of us chooses to live consciously or unconsciously.
Advaita Vedanta teachings supports growth, instills courage and
aids in Self Realization," says Lila.
In October 2007 Lila Lolling founded the DeafYoga Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization dedicated to sharing ancient Yoga wisdoms with the Deaf & Signing community. Through the use of American Sign Language (ASL), Deaf community members are able to fulfill their desire to establish a yoga practice or become an avid yoga teacher in today's world.
