Lila’s Experience
International travel, sharing classical Hatha Yoga & its philosophy, Advaita Vedanta. For over 10 years Lila has presented hundreds of workshops, retreats, asana classes and teacher training courses to a wide variety of audiences.
Lecture & asana classes presented at Deaf community events, Usher’s Syndrome Conferences, corporate businesses (Deaf & hearing), yoga studios & centers, health spas, ashrams and even cozy home environments. Lila teachers all peoples, believing everyone can have access to Yoga's ancient healing wisdoms.
Lila’s Certifications, Achievements & Publications
2008 to present - Sivananda Teacher training course instructor, Sivananda Yoga Ranch.
2008 to present - Author of monthly Yoga column called "Yoga with Lila" in SIGNews, a Deaf community news publication.
2007 - Established the DeafYoga Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to introducing and propagating yoga within the Deaf community.
2005 - Produced the DeafYoga for Beginners DVD.
2002 - Participated in Year Long Healing Program offered by the Amala Foundation.
2002 - Advaita Yoga Ashrama (AYA) Affiliate Yoga Teacher. (Lila’s teacher, Swami Atma)
2001 - Natural Health Consultant Certification from Nature's Sunshine.
2000 - Served & studied on Sivananda Ashrams for seven months.
2000 - Graduated from Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training Course.
1996 - Graduated from Waubonsee College Interpreter Training Program (Illinois).
